Former DOW Chemical Plant Retrofit Job

 

Kelkens Keligrout™ high strength polyester resin anchoring material was used at this Piscataway New Jersey jobsite. KINKISHARYO International, L.L.C., is turning the former DOW Chemical plant into a railcar repair, remodel and upgrade facility. Kelken anchoring products are being used in the securing of the new rail lines.

 

 

To service railcars the factory floor needed new rail tracks installed inside of the the renovated plant. Kelkens Keligrout™, high strength anchoring compound was used to secure the new rail system into the existing concrete floor.

 

 

The new plant can now retrofit old rail cars into modern functional transportation by easily moving the cars through various work stations.  Work on the job was performed by Tracks Unlimited of Mountianside, New Jersey.

• Flexural Modulus: (ASTM D790), 1.06 x 106 PSI 
• Temperature Range During Installation: 10°f to 110°f 
• Temperature Range While in Use: -40°f to 200°f 
• Open Time: 20 minutes at 70°f, 10 minutes at 80°f, 5 minutes at 90°f
