Liquidomes Detectable Warning System

Kelken Construction Systems of Sayreville NJ has established a corporate alliance with Liquidomes, LLC  of Fort Pierce FL in the production, (marketing) and distribution of Liquidomes products, including the First Do-it Yourself liquid kits designed for Detectable Warnings, Truncated Domes, & ADA Ramps.

Product Overview: Liquidomes is the first Liquid Applied – Do it Yourself Detectable Warning System. The system has been tested and exceeded the requirements of The Florida Department of Transportation resulting in placement on the approved products list. To date, the Liquidomes Detectable Warning System has the highest bond strength ratio of any product tested on both Asphalt and Concrete substrates.

Detectable Warnings are an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirement in the current Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) for the use of detecting the boundary line between the sidewalk and the street. In response to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) curb ramps became a requirement on sidewalks and streets. The emergence of curb ramps led to another problem, it removed the visual cue for the end of the sidewalk and made it more difficult for visually impaired individuals to determine the separation point between the street and sidewalk. The solution to this problem is the truncated dome detectable warning system, which is now required by ADA laws.

What makes Liquidomes different than any other product available for this application? Liquidomes is a total turn-key system designed to for the average person (DIY) to successfully install ADA Detectable Warnings. Unlike every other product, Liquidomes is completely customizable onsite enabling it form to every shape and contour of your substrate, meaning the end result will be totally seamless, leaving no trip hazard transition points.

The picture above is from a recent job completed in South Florida. The contractor needed a product that could follow the radius perimeter of their desired Detectable Warning area and Liquidomes filled the need. Previously, they had installed a product which failed due to the harsh climate conditions and extremely high pedestrian traffic. Liquidomes has put an end to the difficulty maintaining ADA Compliance.

Liquidomes is offered eight colors but can be custom ordered to match a color of choice. To view an installation video and for more information, please visit: www.Liquidomes.com
